She has successfully represented clients in Washington D.C. on a wide variety of matters, with an impressive success rate in resolving disputes and controversies pertaining to false advertising, personal injury, business contracts, franchise law, defamation, consumer finance and trademarks. For immigration, she has helped many clients file their petitions successfully and represented clients during their interviews before U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Ms. Haque graduated Cum Laude from American University's Washington College of Law and obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Georgetown University. Previously she worked in the U.S. Senate office of late Senator Edward Kennedy, where she handled immigration casework for constituents. Ms. Haque also worked for Senator Mark Warner from Virginia.
While Ms. Haque was pursuing her Master's degree at Georgetown University, she was selected for the prestigious White House Internship Program. In that capacity, Ms. Haque served at the Domestic Policy Council in the Executive Office of the President and regularly interacted and worked with senior officials, cabinet members, members of President Barack Obama's staff, and other national and foreign dignitaries, academics, and policymakers.
Before law school, Ms. Haque served in the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division and was awarded the Assistant Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Work. In DOJ, Ms. Haque worked alongside DOJ attorneys in investigating the high-profile price-fixing case against Apple, Inc. She also assisted in reviewing the merger of U.S. Airways and American Airlines, as well as notable energy company mergers. Ms. Haque served as an Honors Attorney in the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she participated in complex rule-making and counseled program offices.
Ms. Haque is licensed in the District of Columbia and Missouri and admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia. She lives in the D.C. metro area with her husband, who is a Technology-Transactions Attorney, and her two daughters. She serves on the board of the New England Leadership Council of Susan Komen Foundation. She is also an adjunct law professor at American University Washington College of Law.
